About the Course
If you have already mastered the basics of woodfire cooking and want to take it to the next level, this is the course for you. Join us in our outdoor kitchen in the tranquil Fire and Feast potager garden for a day of hands-on wood fire cooking. We will begin by exploring the art of fire lighting using natural tinder, once fires are lit and our Kelly's Kettle is boiling, you will have the opportunity to try various different fire cookery kit and methods including using Dutch Ovens, Asado and pit cooking as well as more advanced dishes over the woodfired grill. With a combination of demonstrations and hands-on cookery you will prepare a variety of tasty treats throughout the day using the best local produce Suffolk has to offer, with a final meal shared together in our dining tipi. There will be time for questions and conversations and an opportunity to savour the beautiful Suffolk countryside as you cook and dine. Come with a healthy appetite and ready to swap your outdoor cooking hints and tips with fellow course members. Please dress suitably for a day outdoors. Diatary requirements can be catered for if advised in advance.
Your day will include:
Freshly made hot drinks or homemade cordial on arrival
All equipment and ingredients and an apron provided
Brunch, lunch and final meal with a selection of drinks
Fire lighting and cookery demonstrations throughout the day
Recipe pack to carry on your wood fire adventures at home
