Meadow Camping and
Pre-Pitched Safari Tents
Stay on our secluded wildflower meadow campsite, surrounded by birds, bees and butterflies. Our campsite is car free and all pitches are equipped with woodfire cooking kits and benches.
If you love good food, woodfires and getting away from it all then Fire and Feast is the place for you. With big Suffolk skies above and a backdrop of birdsong and meadow flowers rustling in the breeze, our family farm is just the place for a long lazy weekend or a family holiday making memories around the campfire. The secluded campsite is intentionally small to provide you with all the space you need to relax and the large meadow pitches are cut into long grass to create further privacy. For those who want to travel light why not book one of our pre-pitched safari tents?
We love cooking on woodfires and want to give you every opportunity to experience the joy of outdoor cooking too, so every pitch is equipped with a full fire cooking kit/ fire bowl and we are always on hand to share tips and recipe ideas. Local food is abundant, with the Fire and Feast Kitchen Garden providing fresh herbs and seasonal produce every day, a great opportunity for your littles ones to discover the joy of munching on fresh garden peas or the wonderful taste of corn-on-the-cob picked from the garden. Our small onsite shop showcases local food from the area. More information....

Woodfire Cooking
Join us in our outdoor kitchen in the tranquil Fire and Feast herb garden for a day of hands-on wood fire cooking.
We will begin by learning the art of fire lighting. Once fires are lit we will spend our day grilling, roasting and baking over fire in our secluded garden with a back drop of wood smoke and bird song for company. With a combination of demonstrations and hands-on cookery you will prepare a variety of tasty treats throughout the day using the best local produce Suffolk has to offer, with a final meal shared together in our dining tipi. There will be time for questions and conversations and an opportunity to savour the beautiful Suffolk countryside as you cook and dine. Come with a healthy appetite and dressed suitably for a day outdoors. More information....

About Us.....
Chris is a Suffolk chap born and bred and a third generation farmer in Cratfield. He loves books, the countryside, his turkeys and good food.
Judith moved to Suffolk after university to take up a teaching job, so isn't quite a local yet. She enjoys growing, cooking (particularly outdoors) and camping.
Bob is our loveable but exasperating farm dog - if you can guess what breed he is you deserve a prize!
"Together with our three children we have created Fire and Feast on our family farm, to share our passion for food, growing and the great outdoors. We think that sourcing food locally, farming sustainably and getting a bit closer to where our food comes from is important - but so is having fun and making memories together. We hope you will visit us to cook, stay, share a meal or wander along a country lane in this tranquil corner of Suffolk we are lucky enough to call home."
